TORN vintage Shop Assistant

We are looking for a part time shop assistant to work at our vintage shop at West Port, Edinburgh. The days we are hiring for are Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with the occasional possibility for overtime. 
THE ROLES INVOLVES:
  • Customer service and helping our customers find the perfect piece for them
  • Completing sales
  • Store housekeeping
  • Performing general shop duties (steaming, tagging, replenishing stock etc)
  • Merchandising
THE PERFECT CANDIDATE WILL:
  • Have excellent customer service, interpersonal and selling skills
  • Pay attention to detail and have good perception and awareness skills
  • Have an interest in vintage and styling
  • Be a responsible, punctual and reliable individual
  • Have basic sewing/mending skills
  • Be comfortable working by themselves
  • Ideally have previous retail experience
We offer £11.50 hourly rate and 20% staff discount to the successful candidate. The candidate must be/willing to register as a sole trader for this position.

ABOUT TORN VINTAGE

TORN vintage is an independent vintage womenswear shop specialising in contemporary looking vintage and preloved. We source, handpick and curate collections with the needs of our customers in mind and with a huge focus on individual style, sustainability and reusing what's already there. We started online during covid, expanded into doing physical pops ups within Edinburgh and finally opened our physical store at the very heart of Edinburgh's old town, the Grassmarket.
